Votsalo Beach (Gargadoros) – Agios Nikolaos, Crete

Votsalo Beach is a small and peaceful pebble beach located just south of Agios Nikolaos, easy to reach from the town centre. With clear waters, calm sea conditions and a quiet atmosphere, it’s ideal for a relaxing swim close to the city. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available, and water shoes are recommended due to the pebbles.

Keep in your mind it is second beach 20 meters away in the back of the café that is also very nice and little bit more isolated, so keep in your mind both of them.

Right next to the beach you’ll find Votsalo Café, perfect for coffee, drinks or light snacks, while Gargadoros Taverna nearby offers traditional Cretan and seafood dishes. A great choice for visitors who want a calm beach with food and facilities within walking distance.
