5 min walk from right side of Vai beach, even if is not crowded Vai beach is worth visiting, sign shows it, but where was few people with swimsuits. Very natural and cosy beach. Maybe you will see and some nudist there.

Itanos beach

Quite a drive from Sitia but well worth it. Whereas Sitia was overcast and windy this beach was sheltered and sunny. Gently shelving, yellow sand with hardly a ripple. Amazing clear water, golden sandy beach, right next to an archaeological site. Almost deserted beach but then we did visit at the end of May. Parking easy but no facilities so take a picnic and stay all day.

Simple paradise! If you visit Vai you can't miss this incredible beach. Don't let the mountain fool you. Just walk up the hill and you will find paradise.
