We will visit:
1. Kritsa village(Small stop for coffee/drink)
2. Spot with panoramic view of Mirabello valley
3. Neapoli(Small stop in a cafe for Soumada or Kanelada, a local soft drink)
4. Pass from Kastelli & Fourni village
5. Areti Monastery
6. Stop with panoramic view of Mirabello bay
7. Visit Salinas of Elounda(Old place for salt production)
Discover the villages, monasteries and timeless traditions of Crete on a guided tour. Visit Kritsa village, Neapoli, Fourni Village, Areti Monastery, Plaka and Elounda village, the Salinas of Elounda and more.
If you want to explore Agios Nikolaos area, learn about the way of living, historical facts & meet a local, the tour is ideal for you!
Start your tour in a small circle in Agios Nikolaos showing you nice beaches, cafes and restaurants continuing after to Kritsa with a short stop to take away a coffee, continuing our way to Neapoli. Then, we drive to the historical and agricultural Kremasta Monastery.
Visit the peak of a mountain where the Prophet Elias church is located, and take in panoramic views of Mirabello Valley.
After we will reach Neapoli for a small stop in the square enjoying a local drink of Soumada or Kanelada. Here we will go for a short walk through main square of Neapoli and some narrow streets around.
Heading to Kasteli & Fourni Village next, passing Dories & Karidi village to visit the Areti Monastery. Enjoy views of Mirabello Bay, Spinalonga and Plaka beach, as we drive to the Salinas of Elounda, an old salt production site.
During tour i will present and we will talk about the places we visit and their way of living.
We can stop and walk in villages that we pass if you want.
At Saturdays we will visit and a family wood oven in Kritsa valley that make rusks.
Duration: 5 hours
During tour i will present you a PowerPoint about general facts of Crete and we will talk about the places we visit.
Price depends on number of guests
Soft drinks/Coffee with water are included in price
Most of Saturdays we will pass from the bakery of a friend to see where and how we make Dakos, a local type of bread.
