Neapoli - cultural walk tour(Upon request)
In this tour we will explore Neapoli streets and market, we we will visit the folklore museum, the Metropolitan church of Virgin Mary after drinking soumada((famous local drink from almonds)!
We will meet in a central café in Neapoli square. We will take a coffee or a juice and we will stay there 15 min to know each other and share some information and interests about us. After we will visit the ethnographic museum(folklore) that is opposite and the metropolitan church of Virgin Mary that is next. I will share with you some local stories also. After we will cross the public garden of Neapoli and we will walk through Neapoli, inside narrow streets, until will reach the new-classical neighborhood of Neapoli, its very nice because of the architecture of buildings in a period that Neapoli was capital of the area instead of Agios Nikolaos.
We will continue exploring neighborhoods of Neapoli ending in taverna to enjoy a traditional meal! 3 meze, one main dish and a drink! During our tour i will tell information about Neapoli and the area around, some historical facts, about the local way of living, cretan music, tavernas in villages to visit, nature places, monasteries and other information that you would like to know.
