Kritsa Village & Mountain Metochi Cooking Experience

We begin with a relaxed walk through the beautiful village of Kritsa, one of the oldest and most charming villages in Crete. Explore its narrow streets and enjoy the authentic atmosphere of local life.

Next, we head high into the mountains to visit a traditional Metochi, where you’ll learn how shepherd families once lived and discover their customs, daily routines, and way of life that still influences Cretan culture today.

We continue to the stunning Katharo Plateau, where we pause for a coffee or soft drink surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and fresh air.

Afterwards, we return to the Metochi for a hands-on cooking experience. Together with a local host, you’ll prepare a fresh Cretan salad and traditional appetizers using local ingredients.

The experience ends with a shared homemade meal, including wine, raki, and authentic Cretan flavors enjoyed in a warm mountain setting.
